Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
Overview
GiggyBank is designed to give users control over their own earnings data. Most data in GiggyBank is stored locally on the user’s device. If the user chooses to enable Cloud Backup, certain app data is also transmitted to and stored with a third-party cloud service provider so the data can be backed up and restored later.
Data Storage
By default, GiggyBank stores data locally on the user’s device.
If the user enables Cloud Backup, GiggyBank transmits and stores a backup of certain app data on secure servers operated by a third-party service provider acting on our behalf. This is used only to provide backup and restore functionality.
Data We May Store Through Cloud Backup
If Cloud Backup is enabled, the backup may include:
- Trip logs and earnings entries
- Mileage, hours, pay, tips, and related work records
- App settings
- Platform lists, including custom platform names entered by the user
- California adjustment records
- Theme preference
- Onboarding status
- Bvackup metadata such as export date and backup version
Identifiers
If Cloud Backup is enabled, GiggyBank uses a random app-generated device identifier to associate a backup with the user’s device so that backup data can be restored later. GiggyBank does not require the user to create an account or provide a name or email address to use this feature.
How We Use Data
We use backup data only to:
- Store the user’s backup
- Restore the user’s data
- Support related app functionality
We do not use this data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics.
No Tracking or Advertising
GiggyBank does not use user data for cross-app tracking. We do not sell user data, share it with data brokers, or use it for third-party advertising.
No Analytics SDKs or Behavioral Tracking
GiggyBank does not use analytics services or third-party SDKs to track how users interact with the app for advertising or marketing purposes.
No Account Required
Users can use GiggyBank without creating an account. Cloud Backup is optional.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or disclose user data to advertisers or unrelated third parties. If Cloud Backup is enabled, backup data is stored with a third-party cloud service provider solely to provide backup and restore services on our behalf.
User Choice
Cloud Backup is optional. Users may choose whether to enable it.
Data Retention
If Cloud Backup is enabled, backup data may remain stored until it is replaced by a newer backup or deleted. If you have questions about deletion of cloud backup data, please contact us at the email below.
